Terms

Terms of service

I’ve kept these terms short and readable — if something doesn’t make sense or you’d like to talk about them, drop me an email at [email protected].

Short version

  1. You’re welcome to browse without an account.
  2. Creating an account means you give a real email address, keep it to yourself, and don’t share your password.
  3. Most listed programs are third‑party products — their names and trademarks belong to whoever made them. Support comes from the developer, not from me.
  4. Comments are moderated; I can decline or remove one without a back‑and‑forth.
  5. All writing on the site (descriptions, notes, guides) is my copyright — please don’t republish it as your own.
  6. Keep comments decent. No abuse, no personal data, no spam or malware links, no pretending to be someone else.
  7. The catalogue gives you my notes and compatibility info, but I can’t guarantee a program will run on your particular Mac.

Contact

Questions about these terms? Write to [email protected]. I work through emails as quickly as I can, but I don’t promise a set reply time.

Accounts

You don’t need an account to browse. If you sign up, use a real email address that belongs to you. Keep your password private — you’re responsible for anything that happens under your login. One person per account, please.

Third‑party software and links

BestFreeTemplates lists programs and plugins made by other people. All product names, logos, and trademarks belong to their owners. When you download something, you’re dealing with that developer — they handle support, updates, and anything that goes wrong. I don’t host the files; outgoing links point to the official source wherever possible. If a link has gone stale, let me know and I’ll review it.

Moderation

Every comment goes through a quick check before it appears. While it’s waiting, you’ll see awaiting moderation under your own comment — others won’t see it yet. I can decline or remove a comment without starting a debate. Moderation isn’t personal; it’s just keeping the place tidy for everyone.

Copyright on this site

The words I’ve written — program descriptions, editorial notes, category overviews — are my work. Don’t copy them wholesale onto another site. Short quotes with a link back are fine.

Comment rules

By leaving a comment, you agree to a few ground rules:

Breaking those rules usually means the comment won’t make it through moderation — and if the pattern continues, I may close the account.

The catalogue is opinion and notes

Every listing reflects my own notes, tests, and compatibility research at the time of writing. I list versions, file sizes, and install notes in good faith, but I can’t promise a piece of software will run on your specific Mac, macOS version, or setup. Think of the catalogue as a designer’s curated starting point — not a warranty. Always check the developer’s own compatibility notes before installing on a machine you rely on.
