What version 1.80 fix changes

Outdoor streetball courts arrived alongside indoor courts, so you can now choose between a shiny hardwood MyCOURT and a rough asphalt run. A new badge system tracks your MyPLAYER's growth, and the Greatest mode got its 2024–2025 superstar update.

Who'll enjoy it, and who might skip

1. The quick-session hooper. Jump into a 1-on-1, 3-on-3 or 5-on-5 street game. The arcade pace and Apple Music soundtrack make it easy to pick up between tasks. If you want a full simulation with slider tweaks, this isn't that.
2. The career builder. MyCAREER lives in The Neighbourhood now. You chase quests, earn badge points, and push offensive and defensive stats higher. It rewards daily check-ins, which suits routine players more than weekend-only ones.
3. The armchair GM. Association mode hands you the clipboard and the front-office phone. You draft, trade and coach through a season. It's the deepest time sink here—ideal if you love roster puzzles, less so if you just want a highlight reel.

Game Center invites let you pull a friend into any matchup. The vibe is polished but never heavy, which fits a Mac perched on a desk just as well as a big-screen setup.

Building a two-way guard from scratch

Start MyCAREER and set height to 6'5", wingspan a tick above default, weight around 195 lbs. Pick a play style that leans into perimeter defence and mid-range shooting. Once The Neighbourhood loads, skip straight to the outdoor courts. Run three Blacktop games first—the asphalt pace teaches you how the new badge triggers fire without the clutter of a full 5-on-5 set.

After each win, the quest panel updates. Grab the first shoe deal quest and finish it before touching an indoor game. Spend the badge points on Clamps and Catch & Shoot. By the time you step into your MyCOURT for a scrimmage, your player already reacts sharper on close-outs. That early outdoor grind sets up the rest of the build.

Skip quests, leave badge points unclaimed

• Ignoring the quest panel. It sits small on the screen, but skipping it leaves badge points on the table. Even the simple "score 10 points in a street game" quests snowball into a quicker MyPLAYER jump.
• Maxing height without checking wingspan. A 7-footer with default wingspan moves like a fridge in the paint. Shorten the wingspan slightly if you want any lateral quickness.
• Treating Association mode like a quick-play mode. Rushing the first draft without scouting the 2024–2025 rookie class usually leaves the roster thin by mid-season. Spend a full in-game week on scouting before draft night.
